Meet Andrew

Andrew is a small business owner.  He and his wife, Gay Bunch-Hulse, own and operate 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons in Minnesota.  Prior to retiring from corporate America, Andrew held various executive positions in technology and aerospace, including Vice President of Business Development of Space, Missiles and Munitions, General Manager of Aftermarket Jet Engine Systems, Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell Water Solutions, Vice President of Six Sigma, and Director of Marketing for Zoning Control Systems.

Previously, Andrew served for a decade as a naval flight officer in both operational and instructional roles, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  He completed three deployments including Desert Shield, and his awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal x2, the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.  Hulse earned a bachelor's degree in robotic engineering from Purdue University and a master's degree in engineering systems management from St. Mary's University in Texas.  Additionally, he has completed executive programs in leadership, marketing, organizational change, and Six Sigma from The Wharton School of Business, Kellogg School of Management, and Hawaii Pacific University.

 Andrew currently resides in Elk River, MN with his wife of 29 years, Gay Bunch-Hulse.  The couple has two daughters, Bridgette age 27 and Savannah age 20.
